  1. WE CAN DO THIS!! Dr Malone you made this sound "do-able" despite the challenges we seem to be confronted with.

  2. Reflection at the End-
•What is your biggest take away from this morning?
Why not us? We are the best the VI has to tackle this issue.

•What barriers exist to your success?
Organization, Infrastructure, proper Human Capital. If the easy part of this process; procurement and set up for SB is so problematic in the VI...the difficult piece will be exponentially so.

What's your next step in the Smarter Balanced preparation process?
Mine….to see what they tell me to do next.

    What could be done?

There needs to be an amalgamation of Stakeholders, Players, and Leaders to continue the process forward in a positive, constructive, and well organized manner- A dialog that truly embodies the WE ARE IN THIS TOGETHER. The plan forward must be a concerted effort (that properly addresses concerns, ideas, and solutions) that is effectively communicated and carried out with modification as needed.

A first step in the process would be to de-silo the how the process is currently being carried out. It has to be more inclusive to allow cross pollination.
-Not looking to the top for all the direction and answers.
-Not formulating and directing from afar.
    True teamwork
